A Walk in the Sun is a war film released in 1945 (reissued in 1951 as Salerno Beachhead), based on the novel by Harry Brown. It was directed by Lewis Milestone and starred Dana Andrews and Lloyd Bridges.

Synopsis

During the World War II Allied invasion of Italy, a sergeant (Dana Andrews) leads his platoon to attack a fortified farmhouse. The film is noted for its attempt to portray realistically the infantryman's experience.
