Information about Buren Fowler
Buren Fowler was a touring musician with R.E.M., playing guitar. He was also a guitar tech. Fowler left them to perform with the Atlanta, GA-based band Drivin 'n Cryin. His hard-driving guitar work is featured on the albums "Fly Me Courageous" and "Smoke". He currently is a musician, guitar technician and guitar teacher in the Louisville, KY area. He also plays for local Heart of Fire church.
R.E.M. is an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia in 1980 by Bill Berry (drums), Peter Buck (guitar), Mike Mills (bass guitar), and Michael Stipe (vocals). R.E.M. was one of the first popular alternative rock bands, and gained early attention due to Buck's "jangly" guitar
