Home Outfitters is
Canada's largest specialty
superstore home goods chain, with 60 stores across the country selling bedding, towels, housewares, and other home accessories for the
kitchen,
bedroom, and
bathroom. The first store opened in 1998 in the
Toronto area, under the name
Bed, Bath and More. Home Outfitters is a division of
Hudson's Bay Company. It operates in
Quebec under the name
Déco Découverte. HBC asserts that Home Outfitters is Canada's fastest growing specialty store chain, and will open several more stores in 2007.
The average store size is 32,000 square feet. HBC continues to expand Home Outfitters stores across Canada with the stated potential to reach 75 to 80 locations.
