Isaac de Caus (
1590 -
1648) was a
French landscaper, and architect. He arrived in
England in
1612 to carry on the work that his brother
Salomon de Caus had left behind. He is noted for his work at
Wilton House, and
Lincoln's Inn.

Salomon de Caus (born 1576 in Dieppe; died 1626) was a French engineer and once (falsely) credited with the development of the steam engine.
Salomon was the elder brother of Isaac de Caus. Being a Huguenot, he spent his life moving across Europe.
