KNOE-TV, Channel 8, is the CBS affiliate for Monroe, Louisiana. The station is owned by the Noe family along with KNOE-FM 101.9. The family sold KNOE-AM 540 to Holladay Broadcasting in November 2006. In June 2007, it was announced KNOE-TV is being sold to Dallas-based Hoak Media Corporation.[1][2][3][4]

The stations were founded in 1953 by James Albert Noe, Sr., long after his 5-month term as governor of Louisiana.

KNOE's analog and digital transmitters are located south of Monroe in Columbia, Louisiana. They also operate a low-powered translator station, K18AB Channel 18, in El Dorado, Arkansas.

The station also operates a CW affiliate for the Monroe market, available on cable and on KNOE's digital subchannel.
