Coordinates: Kaufbeuren (IPA: [kaʊfˈbɔʏʁən]) is an independent city in the Regierungsbezirk of Schwaben, southern Bavaria. The city is completely enclaved within the district of Ostallgäu.

History

During World War II, a subcamp of Dachau concentration camp was located in the city.[1]
