"Los Arribes del Duero" covers 261.398 ha. by this, is one of the most big protected areas of Europe and it's divided in two zones:

Natural Park "Los Arribes del Duero" is a protected area of western Spain, which it covers 176.248 ha, in the western part of the autonomous community of Castile and León.

Natural Park "Douro Internacional" is a protected area of east Portugal, which it covers 85.150 ha, in the east part of the region of Centro.


In spite of having two zones, It exist a common element: "The river Duero"

The most important characteristic of this nature space is the biologic variety and the different courses of water, which they have eroded the ground gaving rise to deep valleys and vertiginous precipices.

The beauty of this zone and the different leisure's activities are some reasons why we should visit "Las Arribes".
