Information about Ron Mael

Ron Mael (born Ronald David Mael, August 12 1947, Culver City, California), with his younger brother Russell, is in the popular duo Sparks. Ron plays keyboard and writes the songs. When the band hit the peak of its popularity in the 1970s, he was well-known for his strange appearance, often standing motionless over his keyboard sporting his toothbrush moustache.

Ron and his brother once guested on the UK television show, Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Ron has an extensive (and expensive) collection of Air Jordan shoes

He appeared in episode twenty-two of season six of the Gilmore Girls in the role of a town troubadour, along with his brother Russell.
